Detailed description

A superb late model classic W124 E320 Limited Estate in fantastic condition throughout finished in Azurite blue metallic with a full blue leather interior, viewing highly recommended, these are now becoming very difficult to find in RHD in the condition and specification we require in Japan. If your looking for a practical and versatile classic estate to use everyday or the perfect machine to take the family to the coast in superb comfort this W124 E320 Estate could be the perfect choice! With just 74,223 miles from new this grade 4B example is in fantastic rust free condition throughout having spent all its life on salt free Japanese roads in a humid climate and is set to provide years of trouble free motoring for its new owner. This example features a top spec interior with full blue leather along with heated front seats.Carpets are in excellent condition and even the boot area looks as if it's barely been used. The wood veneers on the centre console are all in original condition with no fading or delamination & door trim veneers are all excellent .

Dual temp. control A/C, Original Mercedes speaker system,Dual SRS Airbags for front seat occupants, Leather steering wheel.Luggage net (Can be used with all rear seats folded too!), rear tonneau cover, split foldable rear seats.
Simple yet effective cruise control, speakers integrated invisibly by the A-pillars, simple A/C controls & illuminated vents. Visibility is excellent too and despite the headlights being Halogen filament type, they give excellent lighting and include pneumatic (as opposed to electronic!) headlight level adjustment. There are few electronics in these, which is largely why the 124 isn't known to have electrical problems not uncommonly experienced on later models. If an exterior bulb fails, an orange light on the dash will illuminate to warn the driver. This is controlled through a resistance sensor, again - not by un-necessary modern CANBUS data electronics that plague modern MB's not long after they run out of warranty. Mercedes felt the need to use electronics to switch on brake lights rather than a simple 12v circuit with thick wires, as a need to have OBD2 diagnosis, but these things have conspired to make physical wiring a lot thinner, which in turn can break, etc.

Bodywork as pictures show is excellent, paintwork is deep and glossy, there are a few carefully touched in small stone chips but overall a fantastic example set to provide the new owner with years of sterling service.. It's clearly been stored in a garage or car port throughout it's life when not in use.Paintwork is very well preserved with a great lustre after cleaning. 16” alloy wheels have just been refinished by Perfection UK and  are as new and unmarked all round fitted with good tyres with plenty of tread left all round. There are clear pictures of each wheel. Brake discs have virtually no lip present with around 8mm left on all brake pads indicating this car has been well looked after by its previous owner in Japan.

The engine still carries the original factory sprayed anti-corrosive wax & over lacquer.
Looking inside under the cover, we could see camshafts are still like new, which confirms it's had very regular oil changes with synthetic oil throughout it's life in Japan and the engine is barely worn. Signs show this car's been driven slowly and done mostly motorway kms (legal limit is 100 km/h in Japan). There are service receipts present and service decals affixed to the car  along with a UK service invoice for the new owner. We checked and noted the engine loom has been changed on this example on 29-1-2009 ensuring trouble free miles for the new owner. The M104 engine has proven itself as reliable & is known to run without trouble to 500,000km, if properly maintained as it has been to date.

As to be expected of a properly looked after example, it drives faultlessly & is one of those cars that will break motorway speed limits whilst purring quietly with the usual W124 sound proofing keeping the interior sedate & relaxing, in part due to the excellent sound deadening in the floor, lowest in period of class aerodynamics and the engine bay being separated from the cabin by two walls. Despite being produced 23 years ago, this example's integrity means it still drives better & will without doubt last a lot longer than most modern equivalents today.

Most W124's of higher spec in Japan are LHD since this has been considered a status symbol since the end of WW2, so finding this particular car took much daily & diligent daily searching. This unique Mercedes  W124 E320 Estate represents a top opportunity to acquire an appreciating classic of best possible condition and mileage.Drive one of these and it’s not long before you’ll be smitten by its blend of comfort, practicality, build quality and refinement, the W124 chassis is one of the best Mercedes ever built and low mileage pristine cars are now a true up and coming classics. This example has recently arrived to the UK and has been fully prepared and is now available for viewing by appointment at our UK workshop.

Priced at £SOLD OTR including 12 months MOT & UK registration and service plus a MPH speedometer conversion to allow the car to be enjoyed safely on UK roads.
